Abstract Thought is a production company that focuses on projects that usually live outside the box, or at least ones living inside the box but are ready for a change of scenery.
We currently have a variety of narrative episodic and feature length content in development, as well as a documentary feature being released in the near future.

Kai Smythe has been creating and performing his own independent theatre, music and film projects for over 15 years.
In 2010 Kai graduated with a Bachelor of Film and Television at the Victorian College of Arts in Melbourne, Australia, where he made his first full length pilot for his comedy sci fi series, Rented Space.
With his friend, Australian comedian Tim Mager, Kai created the action adventure duo Mager and Smythe. Their first show “In Search of Atlantis” toured throughout Australia in 2010, receiving multiple awards and critical acclaim. Their follow up show “The Road To Shangri La” premiered at the 2015 Melbourne Fringe Festival, receiving the award for Best Cabaret, and garnered six nominations at the 2016 Green Room Awards. The show was written while Mager and Smythe travelled through Asia, the whole experience filmed for a feature length documentary currently in post production.
